Fresh and Cool provides chiller van rental across Sharjah, Ajman and the wider UAE. Our chiller vans hold +2°C to +5°C for fresh produce, dairy, chilled meat, pharmaceuticals and cut flowers — cargo that has to stay cold without ever crossing freezing point.
Vans are available in standard and high-roof configurations, both carrying 1 to 1.5 tons. Every unit is a Toyota HiAce fitted with Thermo King or Carrier Transicold refrigeration and HACCP certified for food and pharmaceutical transport.
Rates start at AED 300 per day with a professional driver included — not quoted separately and added to your invoice. Standard roof chiller van rental. Lower overall height clears basement loading bays, multi-storey parking and height-restricted service entrances. This is the default for city multi-drop work: restaurant supply rounds, pharmacy deliveries, floral runs and anywhere access is tighter than the load is tall. 38 units available.
High roof chiller van, 1 to 1.5 ton. Additional internal height takes stacked crates and roll cages without double-handling, and a loader can work upright inside the box rather than crouched. Suited to bulk produce, catering trays and cage-loaded retail stock where volume runs out before weight does. 42 units available.
Choosing between them. If the load is heavy but flat — cases of dairy, boxed meat, sealed trays — take the standard roof and keep the AED 50 a day. If it stacks, or you are loading cages at a ground-level bay, the high roof returns that difference in handling time on the first run.

Chiller van rental suits any cargo that must stay cold without crossing freezing point:
On the temperature band. Most operators in this market quote 0°C to +8°C. We hold +2°C to +5°C deliberately. A narrower band means less drift when doors open on a multi-drop route, and no risk of cargo touching freezing at the cold end — which ruins produce and splits dairy as surely as heat spoils it. Tighter control, not narrower capability.
Rates below are per vehicle and include a professional driver. Weekly and monthly terms bring the effective daily cost down considerably — a standard roof van on a monthly contract works out near AED 167 a day.

What “from AED 200/250” usually means.
Most chiller van rates advertised in this market are self-drive rates. Add a driver and the published figure rises to around AED 400 per day. Our plan already includes one.

On a monthly contract that is AED 800 a month — AED 9,600 across a year, per vehicle. Running more than one van? Monthly contracts are priced per vehicle. Ask for a fleet quote.
The difference is the temperature band, and your cargo decides it rather than your preference.
Chiller van — +2°C to +5°C. Anything that must stay cold but must not freeze: fresh produce, dairy, chilled meat and poultry, cut flowers, most pharmaceutical stock.
Freezer van — 0°C to −22°C. Anything that must stay frozen throughout: ice cream, frozen seafood, frozen meat, frozen ready meals.
Getting it wrong costs the load either way. Freezing fresh produce ruptures it and it arrives limp. Carrying frozen stock in a chilled van softens it, and the refrozen product fails inspection.
If a single run carries both — chilled trays and frozen stock on the same delivery — a dual-zone refrigerated truck holds each band in a separate compartment, so you send one vehicle instead of two.
Driver included as standard. Every quoted rate covers a driver trained in cold chain handling — reefer settings, door discipline on multi-drop routes, and temperature checks at load and handover. You are not quoted a vehicle and then invoiced for the person driving it.
Self-drive on request. Available to holders of a valid UAE licence. Tell us when you enquire and we will quote that configuration for the van you need.
Pre-cooled before collection. Pull-down runs at our yard before dispatch, so the box is at temperature when it reaches your bay rather than cooling down after your cargo is already inside. Full cold chain procedure is set out on our refrigerated transport services page.
Replacement vehicle if a unit fails. We hold a standby pool of pre-cooled vans in reserve around the clock. If a refrigeration unit develops a fault mid-hire, a replacement is dispatched — you are not left rescheduling deliveries while a repair is arranged.
Same-day availability. With 80 chiller vans in the fleet, same-day dispatch is normal rather than conditional. Booked 2 hours before for same-day across Sharjah and Ajman.
12 hours per day with the driver. Beyond that, overtime is charged at AED 33.3 per hour. Tell us your route length when you book and we will confirm whether a standard day covers it.
Free delivery is included within Sharjah and Ajman city limits on hires of 3 days or more. For 1-day rentals or deliveries outside core city zones, a flat AED 150 doorstep delivery fee applies, or you can collect directly from our yard.
Yes, basic driver loading assistance is included. Our drivers actively assist at your loading dock and delivery points with pallet loading and box handovers for up to 30 minutes per stop. For heavy manual offloading requiring dedicated extra labour, dedicated loaders can be added to your booking upon request.
Vehicles carry full commercial UAE motor insurance for transit. While vehicle damage and mechanical reefer failures are fully covered, third-party goods-in-transit (GIT) insurance covers cargo up to AED 50,000 per consignment. For high-value pharmaceutical or specialized shipments, clients may request extended cargo coverage or apply their own corporate transit policy.
Yes. Extensions are handled by WhatsApp and confirmed against availability. A 48-hour notice period is required for monthly contract cancellations or non-renewals.
