Freezer Van Rental in the UAE — Deep-Freeze van for Ice Cream, Seafood and Frozen Stock | Book Now

Fresh and Cool provides freezer van rental across the UAE. Our freezer vans hold a stable −22°C and pull down to −25°C where cargo requires it — ice cream, frozen seafood, frozen meat and ready meals that must stay hard-frozen from loading through to the final drop.

Vans come in standard and high-roof configurations, both carrying 1 to 1.5 tons. Every unit is a Toyota HiAce with 100 mm injected polyurethane insulation, a seamless food-grade GRP interior, and Thermo King or Carrier Transicold refrigeration. All HACCP certified.

Refrigerated van rental is available on daily, weekly and monthly terms with a professional driver included in the rate. Vans are pre-cooled to your setpoint at our Sharjah yard before dispatch, so the box is at temperature when it reaches your loading bay rather than pulling down with your cargo already inside.

Why Frozen Cargo Fails on Multi-Drop Routes

Frozen cargo rarely fails because a van was not cold enough at the start. It fails because of what happens every time the doors open.

On a summer delivery route, each stop admits air at 45°C or higher into a cargo bay running forty degrees below that. Cold air spills out, warm air floods in, and the load starts drifting upward the moment the seal breaks. The product does not refreeze between stops — it holds residual cold and loses a little more of it at each one. Across twelve or fifteen drops, that loss compounds.

The damage is invisible until arrival. Ice cream that softened and hardened again shows crystal formation and separated texture. Frozen seafood loses cell structure and weeps when thawed. Products that arrive solid can still fail inspection, because a refrozen load and a properly frozen one are not the same thing, and any buyer with a quality process will know the difference.

How Our Freezer Vans Are Built to Hold Temperature

100 mm injected PUF insulation. Walls and ceiling carry 100 millimetres of high-density injected polyurethane foam. Thickness is what determines how slowly heat crosses the panel — and on a route where the doors open fifteen times, the rate of heat ingress between openings decides whether the load drifts or holds.

Seamless food-grade GRP lining. The interior is lined in glass-reinforced plastic with thermal sealing throughout and an anti-slip aluminium checker-plate floor. Seamless matters twice over: there are no joints for cold to bridge through, and no seams or gaps for bacteria to sit in. Wash-down reaches every surface.

Thermo King and Carrier Transicold units with rapid pull-down. Vans reach deep-freeze setpoint from ambient in 45 to 60 minutes — faster than a truck, because the cargo volume is smaller. Pull-down runs at our yard before dispatch, not on your time.

Every van in the freezer fleet is HACCP certified, so freezer van rental in the UAE for food cargo carries the documentation your own compliance process requires without a separate request.

Freezer Van Rental Built for Multi-Drop — 3-Minute Recovery

The number that decides whether a frozen load survives a route is not the setpoint. It is how fast the box returns to it after each door cycle. Ours:

Recovery after door close

3–5 minutes back to setpoint, in ambient above 40°C

Door-open limit

90 seconds per drop, enforced protocol

Barrier

Heavy-duty PVC strip curtains on rear and side doors

Defrost

Automated 6-hourly, driver override available on route

Access

Dual side and rear, for targeted offloading

Each figure does a specific job.

  • Three to five minutes means that across a fifteen-drop day the van spends under an hour recovering rather than the whole route. The load sits at setpoint for the great majority of the journey instead of drifting between stops.
  • Ninety seconds is an operating limit, not a target. Drivers work to it, which is why door discipline appears in their training rather than in a policy document nobody reads.
  • Strip curtains hold a cold air pocket in place while the door stands open. Without them the bay empties of cold within seconds of the seal breaking, and everything the insulation achieved is lost at the threshold.
  • Driver override on defrost prevents the most common cause of a softened load. An automated cycle firing mid-route raises box temperature at exactly the wrong moment. Our drivers postpone the cycle until the run completes.
  • Dual side and rear access lets a driver pull one drop’s stock from the nearest door without opening the full bay to ambient air.

Freezer Van Specifications — Standard and High Roof

The high roof carries roughly 25% more volume for AED 50 a day. Frozen cargo runs out of space before it runs out of payload, so if you are loading stacked cases rather than dense pallets, the larger box is usually the cheaper choice per unit delivered.

What a Our Freezer Vans Can Carries

Frozen cargo has a required holding temperature, and it varies by product:

  • Ice cream and frozen desserts — −22°C to −25°C, the coldest requirement we carry
  • Frozen seafood — −18°C to −22°C for prawns, fish and shellfish
  • Frozen meat and poultry — −18°C, held throughout to prevent surface thaw
  • Frozen vegetables — −18°C, where repeated softening causes clumping and freezer burn
  • Frozen ready meals — −18°C, from production through to retail freezer
  • Frozen bakery and pastry — −18°C for par-baked and raw frozen dough

Every one of these sits inside our range. Ice cream and frozen desserts need the −25°C setpoint rather than the standard −22°C — tell us at booking and the van is pre-cooled to that temperature before collection, not adjusted after loading.

If a load runs beyond 1.5 tons or needs palletised handling, a freezer truck carries the same temperature range at 3 to 10 ton capacity.

If a Refrigeration Unit Fail

A refrigeration fault on a frozen route is a different problem from a mechanical one. A van that will not drive costs you a delivery window. A van that will not hold temperature costs you the load.

We hold freezer-configured standby vans in reserve around the clock, kept pre-chilled rather than simply parked and available. That distinction is the whole point — a replacement van starting from ambient needs an hour of pull-down before it can take frozen cargo, by which time the original load has already gone. Ours are at temperature when they leave the yard.

If a unit trips mid-hire, a swap is dispatched within 60 minutes. The driver holds the load with doors sealed and the engine running until it arrives, so the transfer happens between two cold boxes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Pull-down takes 45 to 60 minutes from ambient to deep-freeze setpoint, and we run it at our yard before dispatch. The van arrives at your bay already at temperature, so no part of the pull-down happens with your cargo inside it.

It does not, unless you want it to. Cycles are scheduled automatically at 6-hour intervals, and drivers hold manual override while actively on a delivery route. The cycle is postponed until the run finishes rather than firing between drops.

Yes. The vans run at a stable −22°C continuously and pull down to −25°C where cargo requires it. Specify the setpoint when booking and the van is pre-cooled to that temperature before collection rather than adjusted after your load is aboard.

Yes. Calibrated probes log temperature throughout transit and PDF audit trails are available on request. For frozen cargo the record matters most at the drops — it shows recovery after each door cycle rather than just a start and end reading.

There is no fixed limit, because recovery time rather than drop count is the constraint. At 3 to 5 minutes per recovery and a 90-second door window, a fifteen-drop route spends under an hour off setpoint. Send us your drop count and route and we will confirm it works.

A freezer van runs below freezing, at −22°C down to −25°C, for hard-frozen cargo. Refrigerated van is a broader term covering both freezer and chiller configurations. If your cargo must stay cold without freezing, you need a chiller van instead.

Yes, and our drivers keep the engine running through offloading. The refrigeration compressor is engine-driven, so switching off at a stop stops the cooling — which is precisely when ambient heat is entering through an open door.
